First News was launched in May 2006 with a VIP party at Downing Street and support from many high profile figures including Prince Harry, Sir Richard Branson, Rt Hon. Gordon Brown, Piers Morgan and David Beckham.
Prime Web Solutions was commissioned to produce an easy to use content management system that would allow in-house editors to constantly update the website with details of the latest issue of the First News newspaper amongst other criteria.
Based around the PCMS (Prime Content Management System) solution, the First News website features news articles, reader feedback and comments, book reviews, online newspaper subscriptions, image galleries, events calendars, user polls, user comments and a great “Create your own newspaper” flash application to name just a fraction of the site functionality.
